Gravitas is a handcrafted natural stone stacking and strategy game unlike anything else on a table. Each piece is cut and finished by hand from real stone, balanced for play, and beautiful enough to leave out between games. We call it art you can play with, and we mean that in both directions.

The game was born in Brattleboro, Vermont, where it has been made and refined for years in a small workshop with a serious commitment to craft. Every set that leaves that workshop is built to last, and built to be noticed.

Gravitas in Australia

We brought Gravitas to Australia because we knew it belonged here. Australians have always had a strong instinct for quality, for things made with care, and for gathering around something worth your time. Gravitas fits that sensibility perfectly.

The Australian operation is run by Adam Delfiner and Brieland Jones out of Perth, with stone sets available across Western Australia, South Australia, and the eastern states. We are not a mass market games company. We are a small team of people who genuinely love what we make and want to put it in the hands of people who will feel the same way.

What makes it different

Most games are made of cardboard and plastic. Gravitas is made of stone. The weight of it in your hands is part of the experience. So is the quiet that falls over a table when someone is three moves from losing and everyone can see it except them.

The rules are simple enough to explain in a couple of minutes. The depth takes much longer to exhaust. We have seen complete beginners beat experienced players on their first game, and we have seen serious strategists lie awake thinking through positions they did not see coming.

It scales from two players to six, travels well, and works just as well as a gift for someone who has everything as it does as a fixture in a home that values beautiful objects.
